The 640x480 resolution provides clean rendering for 8-bit style graphics. Viewing angles are typical of budget TN panels. The display is not backlight-adjustable on all variants. Screen is recessed slightly into the housing for scratch protection.

Housing is ABS plastic. Dimensions are approximate and may vary by 1-3mm per the manufacturer. The D-pad and buttons are integrated membrane-style inputs. Color options include pink, green, blue, yellow, and gray.

An included AV cable lets you connect the console to a TV or monitor with composite input. The games scale to whatever screen you plug into, though they look best on smaller displays or CRTs.

Output is standard composite video via AV cable. Resolution output mirrors the 640x480 native resolution. Modern TVs with only HDMI inputs will require a separate AV-to-HDMI adapter, not included. Audio is transmitted through the same AV connection.

The second controller connects to the main console via a wired connection. Two-player mode requires TV output for practical use, as the 3-inch screen is not ideal for shared viewing. Not all 500 games support two-player mode.

We are a small store and this is a cheap handheld emulator. You already know that. But here is the thing — cheap does not mean joyless. This little brick runs arcade classics, puzzles, racers, fighters, and a bunch of weird games you have never heard of that you will somehow play for two hours straight.

It is not trying to compete with your Steam Deck. It is trying to survive a train commute, a waiting room, or a Sunday afternoon where you just do not want to think anymore. And at that, it is quietly excellent.

TV Mode For The Brave

Plug the included AV cable into a TV and the 3-inch screen becomes whatever size your living room allows. The resolution is 640x480 so do not expect miracles on a 65-inch display, but on an old CRT or a small monitor it looks exactly the way these games were meant to be seen.

The 2-player variant ships with a second controller, which means you can drag someone else into your retro spiral. Misery loves company. So does Contra.
